BASEBALL
PRACTICE: MARCH
Off-Season (Fall/Winter): Optional workouts, skill development and strength training.
Preseason (February): Daily after-school practices begin.
In-Season (March–May): Practices or games 5–6 days per week with occasional weekends
Summer: Voluntary workouts, camps, leagues and strength training.
Students interested in joining the TNHS Baseball program should complete athletic registration, submit a current KHSAA physical, meet academic eligibility requirements, attend required meetings and workouts, and maintain positive academic, behavioral, and attendance standards while contributing to a team-first culture.
SOFTBALL
FIRST PRACTICE: FEB. 15
Softball combines skill development, teamwork and competition in a supportive environment. Student-athletes build confidence, strengthen fundamentals and grow as teammates while representing Thomas Nelson on and off the field. Our program welcomes players who are committed to learning, improving and competing.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
FIRST PRACTICE: FEB 15
TNHS Boys Volleyball is a growing program entering its third season. We welcome athletes of all experience levels as we continue building a strong JV and varsity program
Preseason open gyms begin in mid-December and January as gym availability allows. During the season, teams typically have 2–3 matches and one practice each week (Monday–Thursday).
Must have up to date physical on file with the school. Knee pads not required but encouraged for back row players.
TENNIS
FIRST PRACTICE: FEB 15
Tennis challenges athletes to develop technical skills, strategy and sportsmanship while competing as part of a supportive team. Our program welcomes players of all experience levels.

BASS FISHING
FIRST PRACTICE: JULY 18
ONCE A WEEK PRACTICE/MEET
Anglers must have access to a boat with an adult captain, proper insurance, and meet all state and federal safety requirements. Students provide their own gear and tackle. Tournament fees are covered through team fundraising.
4 of the past 5 years we have had at least 1 team qualify to compete in the National Tournament!
FLAG FOOTBALL

Flag Football combines skill, strategy and teamwork in a fast-paced competitive environment.

Archery develops focus, precision and technical skill in a competitive team environment. Athletes build confidence and consistency while mastering the fundamentals of the sport. Our program welcomes students of all experience levels.
